This type of eye infection may cause one to become blind, as well as cause an increase of scar tissue to build up in the eye. This build up of tissue in the eye could be a possible cause of an eye infection. However, if there is, any signs of scaring while wearing contacts visit an optometrist immediately. If the problem is, caught early, you may have a better chance of saving your vision.

Dangers of contact lenses also consist of constant blinking. The reason your eyes blink is that you are affecting your corneal reflexes when you wear contacts. Your corneal reflexes cause your eyes to blink constantly when you get something in your eye. However, by you placing contacts in your eyes, you are simply telling your body that it is, ok if something flies into your eyes.

There are also dangers of holiday artificial lenses, that people need to be aware of, for instance holiday artificial lenses will change the shape and color of your eyes. These types of artificial lenses could cause severe injuries to the eyes.

Dangers of artificial contact lenses occur, because optometrists have not fit these types of contact lenses properly. So therefore, the artificial lenses are many times too big or to small for a persons' eye, this could cause a person to acquire a blurry vision, and many times dizziness. There have also been many reports of artificial lenses almost causing permanent blindness of a persons' eye because of the use of holiday artificial lenses.
